Day 1: Parapat Tour (L, D)
We will pick you up at the airport and then take you to a nearby restaurant for lunch. The journey continues to Parapat, Lake Toba. Parapat is a beautiful tourist destination, offering stunning natural scenery, and views of Lake Toba along the way. Before arriving at Parapat, you will see many monkeys roaming around looking for food. So, a tip for those heading there is to bring snacks such as nuts and biscuits to feed the monkeys along the way.
Parapat itself is located in the Girsang Sipangan Bolon area of Simalungun Regency. The journey from Medan to Parapat only takes 4-5 hours from Medan. The journey from Medan to Parapat takes you through Lubuk Pakam, Tebing Tinggi, Pematang Siantar, and finally Parapat. All in all, it is beautiful and interesting. On the way, you will stop at the Paten Shop and the Kwan Im Temple in Pematang Siantar.
Then, crossing Samosir Island, where the Batak cultural center is located, we will take you to Kampung Ambarita, home to the stone chair of Raja Siallagan. Our final destination is Kampung Tomok. There, you can see the ancient tomb of Raja Sidabutar and shop at the local market. Then, return to the mainland to check in and rest.
Day 2: Parapat-Berastagi-Medan (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will take you to Berastagi. The Berastagi tourist area in North Sumatra is famous for its cool climate and distinctive mountain air. Berastagi, a district in the Karo region, is famous for its agricultural products, such as vegetables and fruits. The Berastagi area offers several interesting recreational spots. You can find a fresh and cool natural atmosphere in Berastagi.
You will find expanses of trees, gardens, and green grass on the hills. This is why this area is a favorite tourist destination for families. You will make a short stop at Simarjarunjung, which offers views of the lake and Tongging Village, along with the beautiful Sipisopiso waterfall.
Arriving in Berastagi, you will have the opportunity to visit the Fruit Market and enjoy panoramic views of
Mount Sibayak volcano hike, followed by the Swehdagon Pagoda. After exploring, you will continue your journey back to Medan, where you will begin a city tour, visiting the Velangkanni Annai Church. Architecturally, the Graha Santa Maria Annai Velangkanni building resembles a Hindu temple. Originally intended for the Tamil Catholic community in
Medan, the church is now open to all.
You will then visit the heritage of the Deli Sultanate, Maimoo Palace, and the Grand Mosque. You will then visit the Kesawan area, where you will find beautiful old Dutch colonial buildings such as the Lonsum Building, Tip Top Restaurant, Tjong Afie Mansion, Post Office, and Maha Vihara Matreya. Then, you will visit the local market or shopping mall for souvenir shopping, and then proceed to your accommodation to rest.
